Any of you following Bostardi's blog? This weekend could be one heck of an event for the M.A. up thru the NE! My hands were sweating reading it!

I told my guy I'll give him a sled ride behind the truck if we get more than 20"....then made him promise to do the same for me! LOL Gotta love snow! Before anyone bashes me for stupidity...grow up outside Binghamton, NY where snowfalls used to be over 100 inches. We had to do something to have fun. Of course we won't do 30 mph like we did back then. Heck...we would wear goggles and go 40-50 and when you were done looked like Frosty!

I wouldn't mind seeing another 2' storm, been several years since our last one. And fortunately, it was over a weekend.

That is why I love the Boss V! No skidsteer here yet, but I did today buy a snow blower finally! My shoveler is gonna be psyched! LOL Have fun and be safe..and rake in that winter $$$ we have been missing the past few years. I agree with you in another post about not being able to play with the kids during storms. That's why on ones like these I call ahead before I come home for "intermission" to have the kids all in full gear so I can play for a bit before heading back out. I'm guessing with your op, there is no intermission. I guess that's a benefit of being almost strictly residential.

Sorry to hear Mark...we have had a drought on "real" snow for the same if not more...maybe next year, but for you hopefully this year! Snow keeps tracking south so that doesn't help you a bit. It is the storms coming in off California that are feeding us with the snow.

Honestly, I don' t mind having a 'normal' winter again.

The last 3 years have been over 100", two are in the top 5.

Our 10 year average snowfall has increased by 12" over our overall average.

I just wouldn't mind seeing a big dumping again. The last several years have just been constant snowfall that wears on you, night after night after night. Sleep about 4 hours a day for weeks, sort of burns one out, at least it did me.

Good luck, stay save and shiny side up!

LOL Welp that didn't happen! What a night! Going out for round 2 in a little bit. I couldn't even tell where the road was at times and it wasn't due to the blinding snow. I'd have rather been driving in circles in a parking lot...oh yeah...I did that too, but I only have 3 small lots the bulk is residential drives. I didn't leave them pretty, but hopefully ease the pain when we go back out. Didn't even waste time shoveling.

Yea, this global warming is burning me up. I'm about to damn freeze daily....

Is there a link to his blog? I found one but it was not a US forecast.

Bastardi is only available to subscribers. Sometimes they put his blog up on the free site. Henry Margusity is another pro site forecaster, but is found moree often on the free site. You have to look under the blogs on the main page. Margusity is under "Meteomadness".

    Glenn,

I was so glad that the 12"-18" snow busted at around 4" here.... put in a 10 hr day & grossed (& netted) a good $. Had 5 shovelers & 3 of us plow (my brother helped plow for only 5 hrs). All in all great day - no broken plows, trannys, or blowers! Just hope next weeks storm (Tues-Thurs) stays south or is all rain! C'mon spring - we're already starting late!!!!!

I hear ya! Set my alarm for 3...looked out window...set my alarm for 4...looked out the window....set my alarm for 5 looked out the window and wasn't impressed, but knew the few lots I have needed done before 8 so started the coffee. Then off for all the residential drives. It was nice to do one lap for a change.

As for next week...I'll take one more and then that's it! Get it over next week and not around St. Patty's when we always seem to get something that halts us just after we get started for the season. Have you seen the radar of that monster coming in off the Pacific? Insane! I've already been giving clients a heads up that we are going to be behind schedule this season and for them to be patient. We usually start back 3/1, but that isn't happening this year unless I bring the propane heater and have my guys move it around all day. What a muddy mess everything is going to be! I'm just glad that I took care of some things during fall c/u last year that I normally left for spring should save a few days, but that's just a drop in the bucket!

Hoping to get up the the Greater Philly Outdoor Expo tomorrow to spend some of this hard earned money that is burning a hole in my pocket! LOL Just bought a Hobie kayak last fall and need a fishfinder and some other stuff for the upcoming Striper season.
