I still like Toyota!Good to see F.......F ... . . . .F.. . . . ., you know what I'm trying to spit out, doing well. At least it isn't Government Motors. Hyundai too, good for them, they've come a long way.
Time has change, toyota is going down and Hyndai and Ford goes up big!!! good for Ford.
I just bought the latest Consummer reports latest addition on cars, I am surprised.

Make no mistake, Most of the other Toyota models are still very good, I just compare with Toyota 10 years ago, they have a downward trend. They were the best for the longest time.
I keep close tap on the trend and I used to collect Consummer Reports on cars for years to compare trends of different brands. I noticed and I think I talked about Toyota going down here way before all the news.
I notice also Mercedes made a big jump on reliability also.......well.....from way below average to ......average!!!!
Well....
Now that the US Government is in the car market I have some concern about the "hype" here. Toyota has been one of the best car makers ever (I'm a Honda fan personally) but is there a conflict of interest?? Is the media helping the unions and the Government in making this a bigger issue than is really is?
Just asking questions....
And good for Ford, I think I would WALK or ride a bike in the rain before I bought a GM car.
Honda is still way up there, so you are safe. Just too bad Honda and me don't get along!!! I did all the research and bought a 91 Accord at the time, and I hated it. I drive like an old man and the car don't like to be driven easy. It jerk at the time, both the gas and brake paddle are too sensitive for me. And the turning circile is very large. One time I was so mad and I drove it hard, it behave nicely!!! My wife love it. My wife always like a Volvo, so we bought a 940GLE in 92. She hated it because the car drove like a senior citizen car. I love that Volvo. We swapped!!! I still have the Volvo. Make no mistake, our Honda was reliable, we gave it to her son and is still going strong at 200+k miles.
I bought a Honda HHT31SUNBA big trimmer, paid $430. It broke down after 7 months!!!! Found metal fragments inside the carb. So much for my luck with Honda!!!
I rate Honda, Toyota, and Subaru at the top for Japanese cars. My car is a Subaru. I rate VW, BMW, Mercedes, and Volvo at the top for European cars, and Ford and Chevy at the top for American cars. My truck is a Chevy (I bought it new in 2006) but aside from that. What does the government have to do with GM? Everybody knows all standard police issue and government used vehicles are Ford. The only exception is the new presidential limo. And I might add that that new limo is FAR superior to any previous presidential limo.
I would also like to add that Hyundai is a chinese business and its cars have only become somewhat decent in very recent years.

Ohh yea, I forgot about that. I used to think they were chinese but then I found out that they are actually Korean. I don't really pay much attention to hyundai anymore.
What happened under warranty?
I had a 1980 Accord drove it for 270,000 miles and sold it, had a 1985 and sold it with 150,000 miles...currently drive a 1992 Accord with 246,000 miles and it runs like new. I also have two Honda motorcycles both have over 50,000 miles with no troubles...as you can see I am a BIG fan of Honda products.
Just wondering if they fixed it under warranty or not.

No!! They claimed old gas. They charge me $150!!! We fight, they lower down to $80. Still not working. I did take back the old parts. I finally opened up the old carb and found metal fragments inside and the jet was blocked, I have to use compressed air to blow it out. It was a piece of fragment!!!
I posted their name on different forums including here. That is the reason I try not to buy from dealer anymore. Seems like as soon as they know you are home owner, then the "old gas" come out!!! I use 91 octane under a month and use Stabil all the time, but they don't want to hear any of it.
